A cold but bright morning allowed for Remembrance Day ceremonies to be held at the South Porcupine Royal Canadian
Legion Hall with the Timmins Police Service well represented with officers of various rank in attendance.
These Timmins Police Service officers formed part of the parade and stood at attention to pay homage to members of Canadian Armed Forces
who laid down their lives in various world conflicts in defence of our nation.
The Timmins Police Service was also well represented at the Timmins cenotaph for ceremonies at that location to honor Canadian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom.
The Timmins Police Service officers are mindful of the words of Robert Laurence Binyon.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
