Despite the frigid temperatures, Timmins Police Service officers lent a helping hand to the staff at the Bargain Shop with their annual “toy drive”.today
Const Bill Field and the Dark Knight ( a.k.a. Const. Rick Lemieux ) are proud to report that the total of toys gathered thus far hovers around the $3600 mark.
These Timmins Police officers are quick to point out that the tireless staff at the Bargain Shop deserve the bulk of the credit for the success of this year’s campaign.
These toys will be made available to area families who struggle financially this time of year and whose children will benefit from the generosity of local patrons.
Victim’s Services – Timmins will be coordinating the distribution of the donated toys but anyone who knows of a family in need is encouraged to contact Victim Services – Timmins or
the Timmins Police Service and ask to speak with Const. Field or Const. Lemieux.
