In the spirit of inclusion and cultural awareness, the Timmins Police is helping promote the public activities set to take place locally on Saturday, September 30th in keeping with “Orange Shirt Day”
Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Timmins Native Friendship Center as part of the initial gathering which will be followed by the Orange Shirt Day Awareness Walk set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Once the ceremonial walk is completed, tea, bannock and other light refreshments will be served from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. along with:
– Children’s Craft Activities
– Social activities
– Truth and Reconciliation Awareness Activity.
