Volleyball supremacy in Timmins was on the line as officers from the Timmins Police Service accepted a challenge from local grade 7 and 8 students from Ecole Catholique Anicet-Morin.
A test of skill, strategy and athletic ability was put to the test this past Friday afternoon.
The true winner was the community as all funds raised have gone towards the operational budget for Safe Haven, a local shelter operating to provide residency to the less fortunate.
The charity volleyball match took place in the gymnasium at Anicet Morin (1070 Power Avenue) on Friday, May 11th.
A warm up session managed to get the Timmins Police Cruisers set for high competition against the grade 7 students, the grade 8 students and then the teachers
