Timmins resident facing charges after providing false testimony

A Timmins resident is facing charges following a court appearance on November 17, 2017.

The individual appeared before the Court for a bail hearing and information was provided to the Court by the accused. Follow up by police indicated that the accused had not been truthful in his testimony.

As the accused could not be immediately located by police, a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 23, 2017, police located the individual in question and placed him under arrest.

As a result of the incident and subsequent investigation, Jeffrey Albert SABOURIN, 46, of Timmins faces charges of:

  • Perjury; and
  • Breach of Probation

Sabourin was released on a Recognizance of Bail with a future court date of January 23, 2018.
