Timmins resident faces weapons charges

On February 26 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Timmins Police officers responded to a report of an individual with a firearm in the area of Second Ave. and Spruce St. S. Police located the individual in question and located and seized the weapon. The accused was arrested without incident.

The public should note that this was an isolated incident and that public safety is no longer a concern.

As a result, Renato DIMARCO, 60, of Timmins faces charges of:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm; and
  • Carrying a concealed weapon

Dimarco was released on a promise to appear in court with a future court date of March 27, 2018 in the Ontario Court of Justice.
