TIMMINS POLICE – STREET OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY SAFETY TEAM OFFICERS LOCATE WANTED PERSON

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local person on Saturday, November 16th on the strength of arrest warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.
Timmins Police Service – Street Outreach and Community Safety officers were completing patrols of the downtown core area when one of the officers recognized a woman as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.
The woman was interviewed by the officer after a brief foot chase took place.
The validity of the warrant for Failing to Appear for Court was confirmed by the officers.
As a result, Lea KORPAN, 25, of Timmins, Ontario, was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing where she was released from custody but must attend Provincial Court in Timmins on November 19th to answer to the charges laid against her.
