TIMMINS POLICE RESPOND TO DISTURBANCE IN PROGRESS – ARREST LOCAL WOMAN

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman with a Criminal Code offence stemming from an incident that occurred at a Toke Street apartment early this morning.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a disturbance in progress involving a group of people in the apartment.

Upon police arrival, a woman involved in the disturbance was recognized as being a “wanted person” named in an Arrest Warrant currently held by the Timmins Police Service.

The woman actively resisted the initial arrest undertaken by the Timmins Police officers but was eventually taken into custody.

As a result of the incident, Keisha JOB, 25, of Timmins, has been charged with:

– Resist Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The woman remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins, to answer to the charge laid against her.
