TIMMINS POLICE LOCATE WANTED PERSONS – EXECUTE ARREST WARRANTS

The Timmins Police Service arrested two local persons on the strength of arrest warrants stemming from separate incidents yesterday (04 Sept, 2019).
While completing patrols of the downtown core of Timmins yesterday afternoon, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a pedestrian as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.
The pedestrian was interviewed by the officer while the validity of the warrant was being confirmed.
Once confirmed, Paul LYONS, 35, of Timmins, Ontario, was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against him.
Shortly afterward, a Timmins Police Service officer engaged in downtown patrol recognized a woman as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.
The woman was interviewed by the officer while the validity of the warrant was being confirmed.
Once confirmed, Amy PORTER, 39, of Timmins, Ontario, was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against her.
