TIMMINS POLICE LOCATE AGGRESSIVE PAN-HANDLER – FOUND TO BE IN BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

The Timmins Police Service arrested a Timmins resident stemming from an incident where the subject was found to be in breach of a set of strict court-imposed conditions listed in a Recognizance.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a public complaint regarding a man who was accosting customers at a local coffee shop yesterday afternoon (January 6th)

The responding Timmins Police officers completed an investigation into the matter and determined that such activity was in violation of strict conditions imposed upon him by the Provincial Court in Timmins in December of last year.

The Timmins Police Service determined that the activity was a clear breach of the court-imposed conditions.

As a result, Roger CHOOKOMOLIN, 57, of Timmins was taken into police custody and is charged with:

–       Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the criminal charges laid against him.
