TIMMINS POLICE EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANTS AS PART OF A JOINT FORCES DRUG INVESTIGATION

The Timmins Police Service has charged a total of ten people with a number of Criminal Code and Drug Possession offences stemming from a comprehensive investigation that culminated with the sequential execution of Search Warrants at residences located on Pine North, Windsor Avenue, and Waterloo Road on Wednesday September 1st in Timmins as well as at a residence in the hamlet of Gogama on Thursday, September 2nd.

A Joint Forces Operation (JFO) was launched in March of this year involving the Drug Enforcement Section of the Timmins Police Service, working in direct collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police.

This Joint Forces Operation culminated with the execution of the Search Warrants and the arrests of the ten accused persons.

The collective results of the execution of all the Search Warrants yielded the seizure of:

– 122.4 grams of Fentanyl

– 66.2 grams of cocaine

– 30 Xanax tablets

– 1 gram of methamphetamine

– 9 oxycodone tablets

–  approximately $5000 in Canadian currency.

The total street value of the drugs and cash seized is $57, 500.

As a result of the investigation, Gerald ST-JEAN, 61, of Timmins, was arrested and is charged with:

– 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

–  Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

ST-JEAN was released from police custody at a bail hearing but must re-attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on September 15th to answer to the charges laid against him.

Additionally, Anita LAVIGNE, 63, of Timmins, a 16 year old male from Scarborough and a 17 year old male from Oshawa, were arrested and have been charged respectively with:

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of a Loaded Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

LAVIGNE was released from police custody at a bail hearing but must re-attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on September 21st to answer to the charges laid against her.

The 17 year old young person was released from police custody at a bail hearing but must re-attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on September 20th to answer to the charges laid against him.

The 16 year old male, who cannot be named due to statutory requirements, remains in police custody awaiting a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

The 16 year old accused person is charged with additional counts of:

–       Possession of a Firearm contrary a Prohibition Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

–       2 counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

In addition, the investigation determined criminal involvement of the Dylan BOISSONNEAULT, 29, of Mattagami First Nations, who has been charged with:

– 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

BOISSONNEAULT remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

In addition, the investigation determined criminal involvement of the Brian BURT, 35, of Woodstock, and Raquel WOOLCOCK, 28, of Brantford, who have been charged respectively with:

– 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

BURT remains in police custody awaiting a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

WOOLCOCK was released from police custody at a bail hearing but must re-attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on October 5th to answer to the charges laid against her.

In addition, the investigation determined criminal involvement of Brandi DIXON, 30 of Timmins, who has been charged with:

– 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

DIXON remains in police custody awaiting a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.

In addition, the investigation determined criminal involvement of Henry LAMONTAGNE, 47, of Gogama, who has been charged with:

– 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

And finally, the investigation determined criminal involvement of Casey MCQUE, 46, of Gogama, who has been charged with a single count of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
