TIMMINS POLICE EXECUTE 8 ARREST WARRANTS AT VARIOUS CALLS FOR SERVICE AT WEEKEND OCCURRENCES

The Timmins Police Service arrested 8 local residents on the strength of respective Arrest Warrants which were executed at the scene of 8 separate incidents that occurred over the weekend.

In chronological order, the Timmins Police responded to a disturbance in progress at a Pine Street North apartment during the evening hours of Friday, May 20th.

Once on scene, order was restored as one of the officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Michael NAULT, 40, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued.

In a separate incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 21st, while completing crime abatement patrols, a Timmins Police officer recognized a pedestrian on Balsam Street South as being a “wanted person” named in a current Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Jodi MORRISON, 26, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

MORRISON remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against her.

In a separate incident that occurred during the morning hours of Saturday, May 21st, while completing crime abatement patrols, a Timmins Police officer recognized a pedestrian on Fifth Avenue as being a “wanted person” named in a current Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Danis WESLEY, 36, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

WESLEY remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.

Additionally, the Timmins Police responded to a disturbance in progress at a Tamarack Street apartment during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 22nd.

Once on scene, order was restored as one of the officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Richard HOOKIMAW, 39, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

HOOKIMAW was released from police custody at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins with strict conditions including having to attend court on June 2nd to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued.

Additionally, the Timmins Police responded to a disturbance in progress at a Windsor Avenue residence during the morning hours of Sunday, May 22nd.

Once on scene, order was restored as one of the officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Victor WESLEY, 32, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

WESLEY was released from police custody at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins with strict conditions including having to attend court on May 26th to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued.

Additionally, the Timmins Police assisted EMS at a call for service at a Father Les Costello Drive residence during the morning hours of Sunday, May 22nd.

Once on scene, order was restored as one of the officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Zachary HANSEN, 35, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

HANSEN remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.

Additionally, the Timmins Police responded to an allegation of mischief at a Mountjoy Street South residence during the morning hours of Monday, May 23rd.

Once on scene, it was determined that there was no substance to the original report but one of the responding officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Lee PARKER-KOOSEES, 38, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

PARKER-KOOSEES remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.

Lastly, the Timmins Police responded to a “suspicious person” call for service at a Fifth Avenue residence during the evening hours of Monday, May 23rd.

Once on scene, the responding officers recognized one of the persons involved as being a person currently named in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Jonathan SUTHERLAND, 29, of Timmins was arrested and taken into custody.

SUTHERLAND remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.
