The Timmins Police Service was invited to take part in a “first responder” tour held recently at the Timmins Fire Hall.
The tour was held to show students from the Timmins Learning Centre the various vehicles and other tools of the trade related to first response by either Fire Department or law enforcement personnel.
Constable Brent Gauthier and Constable Michael McNaughton represented the Timmins Police Service allowing for the young students to see first hand what a police vehicle has in terms of special equipment.
As it happens, a fire call came in at the same time as the tour so these officers had to, as best they could, explain the various functions of a fire truck.
The tour recipients were thrilled to interact with local police officers.
A card expressing their appreciation, see below, has been received here at the station.
Cheers !!
