TIMMINS POLICE CHARGE TWO YOUNG PERSONS IN REGARDS TO WILLFUL DAMAGE SPREE

The Timmins Police Service has charged two local young persons with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from a series of events resulting in damage to property in South Porcupine on Thursday, July 25th.
The Timmins Police Service responded to a complaint and completed an investigation into the occurrences where it is alleged that the two young persons willfully caused damage to Roland Michener High School and two personal vehicles parked in the vicinity..
Based on the outcome of the investigation, two young male persons, aged a 12 and 13 respectively, have been charged with:
– 6 counts of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 6 counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The 13-year-old stands charged with numerous additional counts stemming from these allegations.
The young persons have been arrested and were held for a Bail Hearing where they were released on strict conditions and to attend Provincial Court in Timmins on August 19th in order to address the charges laid against them.
