TIMMINS POLICE CHARGE LOCAL RESIDENTS WITH THEFT – SEPARATE INCIDENTS

The Timmins Police Service has charged a pair of local residents with theft related offences stemming from separate incidents which occurred yesterday evening at a west end retail outlet store in Timmins.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers attended the scene of the separate incidents of theft of merchandise that had been observed by in house loss prevention officers who had made relevant observations of the occurrences.

One of the events occurred in the early evening while the other event occurred later that same day and involved separate suspects.

The suspects were arrested and taken into custody by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the first incident, Curtis SHISHEESH, 37, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:

– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

As a result of the second incident where the suspect is alleged to have provided a false name to police and also found to be in possession of property allegedly stolen in an August occurrence at another location, Natasha KOOSTACHIN, 30, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:

– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Identity Fraud contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

– 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
