TIMMINS POLICE CHARGE LOCAL MAN WITH THEFT

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man in relation to an allegation of theft which eventually led to his arrest.
Based on their investigation, the Timmins Police Service alleges that the man attended a liquor store in Timmins during the evening hours of Thursday, December 20th, and fled with approximately $60.00 worth of items.
The Timmins Police Service was called to the scene and reviewed video of the event and were able to positively identify the suspect
The suspect was located a day later and placed under arrest.
As a result, Harold NAKOGEE, 29, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
