The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with the offence of Mischief contrary to the Criminal Code stemming from an early morning incident on Sunday, March 5th where the suspect slashed the tires of service vehicles belonging to a local plumbing company.
Based on investigation, and a review of closed-circuit video footage, it was determined that the suspect entered onto the property and slashed the tires on two parked service vehicles.
A total of three tires were slashed resulting in an estimated $1000 in damage.
The suspect was arrested yesterday evening, on the strength of an Arrest Warrant, by a Timmins Police officer who located the suspect at the scene of an unrelated matter at a Moneta Street address.
As a result, Destin LAMOTHE, 22, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Mischief to Property contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
