Police investigating Break & Enter and Theft of large number of electronics

On September 4, 2017, the Timmins Police Service received a report of a break & enter and theft at the Mushkegowuk Council office, located on Birch St.S. in Timmins.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that sometime between September 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., and September 4, 2017 at 2 p.m., an unknown individual or individuals gained access to the office building. A large number of electronic devices were taken, including several laptops and numerous tablets. The value of the electronics taken is estimated at between $30,000 and $40,000.

The incident is being investigated by members of the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section & Forensic Identification Section, with assistance from patrol officers. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
