Drug, weapons charges laid following investigation

On January 11, 2018, members of the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from patrol officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins.

As a result of the investigation, police seized a number of items, including 206 Methamphetamine tablets, approximately 29 grams of Cannabis-Marihuana, approximately 1 gram of Cocaine, a Cannabis-Marihuana food item, a firearm, ammunition, and other drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $2,060.

Mirka ST-LOUIS, 54, of Timmins faces several charges including:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance; and
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

St. Louis was released on a Promise to Appear in court with a future court date of February 20, 2018.
