TIMMINS POLICE TAKE PART IN PROVINCIAL DAY OF ACTION ON LITTER

Officers with the Timmins Police Service took on an active role earlier today in the Provincial Day of Action on Litter.

Tuesday May 10th has been identified as the day of action in regards to collecting litter and beautifying our city.

Pictured below are Timmins Police officers: S/Sergeant Mike Fortin, Const. Leah Blanchette (plain clothes) and Const. Caroline Rouillard pitching in and doing their part.

The Timmins Police Service sees this initiative as a valuable part of community service.

It was definitely a team effort but the area surrounding the police station received some necessary attention in regards to litter that has accumulated over the winter months

This initiative is spearheaded by Amanda Dyer – Corporate Communications Coordinator at Timmins City Hall and the Timmins Police Service was eager to do its part.

It is hoped that this will inspire other citizens and concerned groups to consider taking part and “tackle some trash” in your own neighborhood.
