TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE HOST “STANDARD FIELD SOBRIETY TESTING” COURSE

This Friday marks the conclusion of an intensive week for 10 Timmins Police Service officers as they conclude their training put on at the TimminsPolice station by officials with the Ontario Police College (OPC).

The week-long course of study focused on Standard Field Sobriety Testing so that these officers will be better able to apply their skills in determining impairment by drug as well as alcohol.

The need to have officers trained in this area was identified to senior management at TPS.

Thanks to a measure of coordination with OPC, this intensive training session was undertaken.

The Timmins Police Service continues to make the appropriate investment in its officers in order to contribute to public safety.
