TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE – AUXILIARY UNIT MEMBERS COMPLETE ANNUAL TRAINING SESSIONS TO BE BETTER ABLE TO SERVE

In order to be completely ready to render assistance to platoon officers when tactical deployment is deemed necessary, Timmins Police Service – Auxiliary Unit members are required to complete annual physical training.

Recently, all members of the TPS Auxiliary Unit completed this training to be better able to respond to the rigors of certain calls for service, when the need presents itself.

These volunteers continue to give of their own free time to promote the Timmins Police Service at varied public events.

They also provide vital support to the platoon officers at calls for service in terms of crowd control, scene security, traffic control, witness canvasses, to list but a few of their vital functions.

They stand ready to serve and assist. Their individual sense of community service is exemplary and appreciated.
