TIMMINS POLICE MAINTAIN CONTROL OF MOUNTJOY STREET SOUTH CRIME SCENE

The Timmins Police Service is issuing a Public Advisory in regards to an incident that took place late this afternoon at a Mountjoy Street South apartment building.

At present the scene is under the strict control of the Timmins Police Service as an investigative priority.

A strong police presence is in this area and access to the address of interest and certain adjoining properties may be restricted and controlled as a precautionary measure for the time being.

The Timmins Police Service is treating the address in question as a crime scene.

Investigators with the Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division have been deployed along with members of the Forensic Identification Unit.

An evidence canvas of the immediate area is currently underway.
