In keeping with Police Week’s theme of “Building Bridges – Celebrating Police Community Partnerships”, the Timmins Police Service has joined forces with Crime Stoppers and Victim’s Services.
An Information booth can be found in the Wal-Mart store on Riverside Drive as each of these like minded agencies seek to provide information to the general public about the services offered by each agency.
Crime prevention, career opportunities, counseling for crime victims, and a host of other topics are open for discussion.
This year these agencies benefitted from a visit from St-John’s volunteers in regards to their support dog program designed on providing support and comfort by means of informal canine interactions.
Members of the public are encouraged to drop by and collect some information that will likely be of interest to property owners, seniors, children and anyone in between
Cheers,
