TIMMINS POLICE INVESTIGATE COMMERCIAL BREAK IN – THREE MEN IN CUSTODY

The Timmins Police Service has charged three local persons with Break and Enter related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 21st at a Brousseau Avenue commercial building in Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service where suspects had gained entry to the business by force and made off with roughly $6800.00 in tools, equipment, and electrical materials.

All suspects were identified by means of investigation by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Victor GUNNER, 34, Cameron BLUEBOY, 23, and Daniel KATAQUAPIT, 33, all of Timmins, were arrested later that same day and have been charged respectively with:

– Break and Enter with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Use Disguise with Criminal Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

BLUEBOY is charged with an additional count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Each man remains in police custody awaiting bail hearings slated for this morning at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the respective charges laid against them.
