The Timmins Police Service has charged a local person with theft related offences stemming from two sequential incidents that occurred on Sunday, June 12th at two separate retail outlets in Timmins.

A Timmins Police Service officer responded to the call for service regarding a person who had attended at an Algonquin Blvd LCBO store and proceeded to steal a number of items, and fled on foot.

While collecting details about the first theft, a second report was received regarding a theft in progress at a neighboring pharmacy.

Based on the investigation, the responding Timmins Police officer was able to identify, locate, and arrest the male suspect as the suspect was exiting the pharmacy with a number of stolen items on his person.

As a result of the incident, Nathan GUILLEMETTE- PREVOST, 25, of Timmins, has been charged with:

– 2 counts of Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

GUILLEMETTE-PREVOST remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
