TIMMINS POLICE ARREST TWO MEN RESPONSIBLE FOR RECENT BREAK-INS

The Timmins Police Service has charged two local men with Break and Enter offences stemming from a series of recent criminal incidents that occurred locally between January 25th and February 2nd.

Based on investigation, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Timmins Police Service has laid charges in relation to 3 incidents of break and enter that occurred at an area pharmacy.

Two men, Alain Gauthier, 18, of Iroquois Falls and Jayson LABINE, 20, of South Porcupine, have been arrested and charged respectively with:

  • Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of Break and Enter Instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

In regards to this incident, LABINE stands further accused of a single count of:

  • Use Disguise in the Commission of an Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Concurrent investigations by the Timmins Police Service into similar break-ins at the same location on January 27th and again on February 2nd have resulted in LABINE facing additional charges, specifically:

– 2 counts of Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 2 counts of Possession of Break and Enter Instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

LABINE remains in custody with an upcoming court date of February 23rd at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

GAUTHIER remains in custody in regards to unrelated criminal matters.  Regardless, he is  compelled to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 21st to answer to the charges listed in this communique.
