The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman with Break and Enter related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 14th, at an Algonquin Blvd sporting goods store in Timmins.
Based on investigation, the Timmins Police Service had determined that the suspect gained entry by force into the retail outlet and proceeded to gather up cash and over $4000 in merchandise.
The damage caused at the point of entry is estimated to be $500.00.
The suspect was located in the store by responding Timmins Police officers before she could make good on her attempt to escape.
Upon arrest, stolen items from a separate incident was found on the suspect’s person.
As a result, Felicia NAKOGEE, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 counts Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
