The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from a series of incidents that occurred in the area of Commercial Avenue during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 16th.
A complaint was received by the Timmins Police where a male subject was observed damaging two vehicle tires on a parked vehicle outside of a Commercial Avenue residence.
The subject was positively identified but fled from the scene prior to the arrival of responding Timmins Police officers.
The total damage to the vehicle’s tires is estimated to be $600.00.
The subject returned to the same residence during the early afternoon hours of the same day and uttered threats to the male occupant of the residence.
Once again, the subject fled prior to police arrival but was located a short while later and taken into custody by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result of the incidents, Brandon GIRARD-LAVERGNE, 20, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Utter Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
