Crime Stoppers needs your help to solve a natural resource violation.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are investigating an illegally harvested moose that took place between August 28th and 29th of this year. An unknown person illegally shot a moose 25 km north of Kamiscotia Lake on the Abitibi Main Road in Thornburm Township northwest of the city of Timmins.
With hunting season just around the corner hunters are reminded that discharging a firearm along any traveled portion of a roadway is not only extremely unsafe but also illegal.
Hunters are always encouraged to maintain safe practices when traveling to and from their favorite hunting location and while on the sights.
A safe hunt is a successful hunt.
